About the position

We are seeking an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Denver, Colorado. This role will involve managing various accounting functions, utilizing a variety of software such as Oracle NetSuite Technologies, Microsoft Office Suites, QuickBooks Enterprise, and ADP Workforce Now. This is a short term contract employment opportunity. The Accounting Manager/Supervisor will oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes. The successful candidate will utilize Oracle NetSuite Technologies to streamline and automate financial management processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all financial operations. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting financial reports and budgets using Microsoft Office Suites. You will handle payment processing tasks, ensuring all transactions are conducted accurately and timely. Additionally, you will implement and work with QuickBooks Enterprise for accounting and bookkeeping operations, and utilize ADP Workforce Now for payroll and HR needs, ensuring all employee records are accurately maintained. The Accounting Manager/Supervisor will develop and implement systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting information. You will work closely with the team to create and analyze financial reports, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, processing accounts payable and receivable, and managing invoices. Supervising and/or managing general ledger accounting functions will also be a key responsibility. Furthermore, you will develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships. Working with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end will be essential to this role.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proven experience in an Accounting Manager or Supervisor role.
  • Deep understanding of and proficiency in ADP Workforce Now.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suites, especially Excel.
  • Familiarity with Oracle NetSuite Technologies.
  • Experience in Payment Processing, including digital payment solutions.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise for business accounting.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage and lead a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Detail-oriented certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, tax laws, and regulations.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.

Nice-to-haves

  • Detail-oriented certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is a plus.
