About the position

The Accounting Manager position at our Orlando company is a critical role that involves overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a strong background in managing monthly accounting activities, including posting accruals and handling balance sheet items. The role requires expertise in fixed assets management, including capitalization and depreciation, as well as performing bank and vendor reconciliations. In addition to these responsibilities, the Accounting Manager will be accountable for the quality and timeliness of month-end and year-end closing processes. This includes conducting thorough reviews of actuals versus budget to ensure effective cost control. The position also involves performing various financial analyses as required by headquarters or local management, making it essential for the candidate to possess strong analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. This role is not only about managing numbers but also about building relationships and fostering teamwork within the organization. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in supporting the financial health of the company and will be expected to contribute to strategic financial planning and decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day to day accounting activities.
  • Manage monthly accounting activities including posting accruals and other balance sheet items.
  • Oversee fixed assets management, including capitalization and depreciation.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and vendor reconciliations.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensure quality and timeliness of month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Responsible for cost controlling, including monthly reviews of actuals vs. budget.
  • Conduct other financial analysis as required by HQ or local management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and build relationships across departments.
