About the position

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Las Vegas, Nevada. The main function of this role is to oversee the daily activities of the finance and accounting personnel, ensure the accuracy of all financial data, participate in month and year-end closures, generate reports, and provide analysis to senior management. This position requires a strong leader who can manage a team effectively while ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards. The Accounting Manager/Supervisor will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of financial reporting and will be responsible for developing and implementing financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency. In this role, you will oversee the daily activities of accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing, and data entry teams. You will ensure the accuracy of financial data in the accounting systems by gathering information from various business entities within the group. Additionally, you will direct the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, operating expenses, and insurance records. You will also be responsible for developing procedures to improve existing systems and establish system controls for new financial systems. As part of your responsibilities, you will coordinate the preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting. You will review financial statements with management personnel and ensure accuracy and completion of all billings, establish customer credit limits, and oversee the collection process. Monitoring outstanding receivables and generating reports to provide financial analysis to senior management will also be key aspects of your role. You will perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the finance and accounting department.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily activities of accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing, and data entry teams
  • Ensure accuracy of financial data in the accounting systems by gathering information from various business entities within the group
  • Direct the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, operating expenses, and insurance records
  • Develop procedures to improve existing systems and establish system controls for new financial systems
  • Coordinate the preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting
  • Review financial statements with management personnel
  • Ensure accuracy and completion of all billings, establish customer credit limits, and oversee the collection process
  • Monitor the outstanding receivables
  • Generate reports and provide financial analysis to senior management
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must hold a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role or related field.
  • Proficiency in Month End Close, Financial Analysis, Financial Modeling, Financial Planning, Financial Reconciliation, Financial Reporting, and Financial Statement Preparation.
  • Experience with Oracle Financials, MS Excel, Oracle, and Business Intelligence (BI) is required.
  • Advanced skills in SQL - Structured Query Language and Structured Query Report Writer.
  • Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP), Intercompany Accounts, Collections - Commercial, Collections - Consumer, Credit - Collections, Cash Flow Management, and Cash Management.
  • Proven experience in Management Reporting and Fixed Assets.
  • Proficiency in Accounts Receivable - Aging.
  • Must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required, a master's degree is preferred.
  • Must be willing to continually update skills and knowledge to keep up with industry advancements.
  • Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or similar is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven business decisions.
