About the position

The Accounting Manager/Supervisor role at Robert Half involves managing accounting operations within the food distribution industry. Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of accounts payable and receivable teams.
  • Handle the onboarding of new customers, vendor, and supplier evaluations.
  • Maintain and manage the general ledger and financial closing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX and manage intercompany transactions.
  • Oversee shared services for centralized accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Maintain a focus on internal controls, particularly in procurement.
  • Utilize accounting software systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning for efficient operations.
  • Implement auditing processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage billing functions to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.
  • Leverage ADP - Financial Services for effective financial management.

Requirements

  • Candidate must possess a minimum of 7 years experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.
  • Experience with ADP - Financial Services is essential.
  • Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is a necessity.
  • Hands-on experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is needed.
  • The role requires skills in Auditing.
  • Candidate must be well-versed in Billing Functions.
