About the position

We are in search of an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team, located in Galveston, Texas. This role requires effective leadership and involves overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, managing recurring tasks, and ensuring high levels of client responsiveness and deadline adherence. The Accounting Manager/Supervisor will play a crucial role in the growth and management of the accounting department, ensuring that all processes are streamlined and efficient. This position demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to foster a collaborative environment within the team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, which includes managing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the department's performance. You will ensure that all recurring tasks are entered by the end of each month and that the team adheres to high standards of client responsiveness and deadline adherence. Additionally, you will oversee client onboarding processes to ensure timely onboarding and ensure that 90% of client queries are answered within one business day. Meeting deadlines is critical, and you will ensure that 98% of deadlines are met by staff. Monitoring the average realized hourly rate by client is essential to ensure profitability standards are met. You will also be expected to use accounting software and tools such as QuickBooks, ClickUp, and Helpscout efficiently for various tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as the ability to lead a team effectively and drive results.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role within the Accounting field
  • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential
  • Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services would be beneficial
  • Knowledge of BlackLine software is required
  • Experience with Concur software is advantageous
  • Understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems is essential
  • Ability to handle all Accounting Functions effectively
  • Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Proficiency in Auditing processes and procedures
  • Experience in overseeing Billing Functions
