About the position

The Accounting Manager at Warner Music Latina will oversee the day-to-day operations of the finance department, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures while supporting financial reporting and internal controls. This role requires collaboration with the Controller and other departments to facilitate strategic financial decisions and maintain an effective control environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Controller in managing the month-end process including preparing and posting journal entries according to accounting standards.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts in partnership with Nashville CoE.
  • Work with the Control Champions Team to maintain an adequate control environment in line with WMG Risk Control Matrix.
  • Assist in ad hoc special projects and analysis for label and corporate senior management.
  • Participate in audits or reconciliations as needed.
  • Monitor and analyze financial accounting data.
  • Perform artist recoupment analysis as per WMG reporting requirements.
  • Handle revenue recognition along with the Controller.
  • Manage intercompany transactions to ensure proper financial statements.
  • Create and coordinate Year and Monthly Financial Calendar.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience, preferably in public accounting and the music industry.
  • Proficient in US GAAP and related financial reporting regulations and standards.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to work under pressure and develop key relationships.
  • Audit experience at a public accounting firm preferred.
  • Strong analytical and accounting skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective cross-functional communication.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience in SAP.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and delegate as needed.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • CPA certification.
  • Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
