About the position

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily technical accounting operations of the company. This includes conducting detailed reviews of balance sheet account reconciliations, monthly journal entries, and ensuring compliance with SOX controls. The role also involves assisting with SEC filings, conducting technical research, drafting memos, and managing various projects as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day technical accounting activities for the company.
• Conduct detailed reviews of various balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Review monthly journal entries for accuracy and compliance.
• Perform ongoing SOX controls to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Assist with SEC filings and related documentation.
• Research and draft technical memos as needed.
• Manage other accounting projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting.
• CPA certification required.
• At least 4 years of Public Accounting audit experience with publicly-traded clients.
• Strong understanding of US generally accepted accounting principles and SOX controls.
• Experience in performing technical accounting research and documentation.
• Excellent computer skills including advanced Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Demonstrable strategic thinking, influencing, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong follow-up skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to establish collaborative working relationships.
• Strong management skills and experience managing other accountants.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
