About the position

The Accounting Manager Consultant will oversee financial operations for a manufacturing client in Central San Diego on a contract basis. This role requires a seasoned professional with expertise in financial statement creation and month-end closing processes, expected to work independently and lead accounting functions effectively until year-end.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end close procedures
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable operations
• Conduct comprehensive reconciliations
• Execute forensic accounting tasks meticulously
• Evaluate existing accounting processes and suggest possible improvements
• Develop new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency
• Utilize Quickbooks Enterprise for managing and processing accounting data
• Handle accrual accounting procedures

Requirements

• A minimum of Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or similar field
• 7+ years of robust experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
• High proficiency in Quickbooks Enterprise
• Solid understanding of the monthly close process, financial statement creation, accounts payable/receivable, accruals, reconciliations, and forensic accounting
• Excellence in creating SOPs and evaluating processes
• Ability to work independently with limited guidance
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and commit to project delivery by year-end
