About the position

The Accounting Manager is responsible for recording daily financial transactions, invoicing our clients, payroll, and preparing month-end for the business. They will maintain and file requisite documents for taxation compliance, monitor cash flow and produce financial reports to assist managers in taking strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll including reconciling and maintaining all payroll related general ledger accounts.
  • Responsible for all government remittances (State Sales Tax, Use Tax, 401k, etc.)
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Prepare and submit invoices to clients and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
  • Ensure accuracy of all financial transactions.
  • Posting journal entries.
  • Monitor and track expenses.
  • Assist with month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Assist in preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Maintain the general ledger.
  • Assist in the development of policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements.
  • Miscellaneous office requirements.

Requirements

  • Accounting Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years in a similar role
  • Basic accounting knowledge
  • Understanding of industry benchmarks in accounting best practices
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel or any other spreadsheet
