About the position

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead and manage the day-to-day accounting operations of our organization. The Accounting Manager will oversee the global accounting department that supports the SigmaNEST, Cimatron, and GibbsCAM businesses to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintain strong internal controls. This role applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports in performing the accounting functions of this position. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. It is essential that all financial reports comply with GAAP or IFRS, as applicable. The role requires analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, ensuring that the organization remains financially healthy and compliant. In addition to financial reporting, the Accounting Manager will oversee the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all financial records. This includes reviewing and approving journal entries, reconciliations, and account analyses, as well as managing the month-end and year-end closing processes. The role also involves collaborating with department heads to prepare annual budgets and periodic forecasts, monitoring actual performance against budget, and providing insights and recommendations for improvement. The Accounting Manager will develop and implement strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial information. This includes ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, coordinating external and internal audits, and ensuring timely and accurate completion of all financial obligations. As a leader, the Accounting Manager will mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback while fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. The role also requires identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness within the accounting function, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to enhance accounting operations. Cross-functional collaboration with other departments, such as HR, IT, and Operations, will be essential to support business objectives and initiatives, providing financial insights and analysis to support decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

  • Work closely with other departments, such as HR, IT, and Operations, to support business objectives and initiatives.
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Experience with international accounting
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP or IFRS, financial reporting, and general ledger management
  • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • High level of integrity, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards
