About The Position
The Accounting Manager at Advantage Capital plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the firm's financial statements, which are prepared quarterly and annually. This position involves shared responsibility for reviewing all journal entries prepared by Staff and Senior Accountants for over 500 entities, including more than 90 that are subject to audits. The Accounting Manager will also be responsible for preparing quarterly valuation analyses of portfolio investments and internal entities, as well as generating reports for senior management. In addition to these core responsibilities, the Accounting Manager will provide support on special projects, which may include regulatory compliance and certification matters. The role also encompasses shared responsibility in the treasury function, which includes deal closings and quarterly distribution calculations. The Accounting Manager will interface with auditors, bank contacts, and senior management to ensure smooth operations and compliance. Furthermore, oversight of the accuracy of data in the PEView system is essential, along with the creation of reports as needed. As a mentor and leader within the accounting team, the Accounting Manager will foster a collaborative environment, guiding team members and ensuring that the team meets its objectives effectively. This position is integral to maintaining the high standards of financial reporting and compliance that Advantage Capital is known for, contributing to the firm's mission of impactful investment in underserved communities.
