About the position

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Manager in Flemington, New Jersey. This role will be focused on managing financial statements, overseeing monthly closes, and utilizing specific software tools for efficient operations. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial records while implementing and enforcing accounting policies and procedures. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes. The role will be required to work a hybrid schedule, with three days a week onsite. Prior experience in the healthcare industry is preferred, as it will provide valuable insights into the specific financial challenges and requirements of this sector.

Responsibilities

  • Take charge of the preparation and management of financial statements
  • Oversee and manage the monthly closing process
  • Efficiently use Infor for various accounting processes and tasks
  • Utilize Razors Edge software for handling specific accounting functions
  • Ensure the maintenance of accurate accounting records
  • Respond to and resolve any accounting-related inquiries and issues
  • Monitor and review accounting documents for accuracy and compliance
  • Implement and enforce accounting policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes and procedures
  • Manage and oversee the training of new staff on accounting processes and software applications

Requirements

  • Proficiency in financial software 'Razors Edge' and 'Infor' is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability in Financial Statement Preparation.
  • Experience in managing Monthly Close procedures.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are followed.
  • Ability to analyze figures, forecasts and financial reports.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus.
