About the position

The Accounting Manager position at Star Staffing is designed for an experienced professional who will provide direct support to the finance team. This role emphasizes collaboration within a family-oriented business environment, focusing on exceptional accounting practices and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite and direct support to the finance team reporting directly to Controller and Assistant Controller
• Oversee AP/AR staff
• Ensure accuracy of AP/AR Subledgers
• Manage Month End and Year End processes, including journal entries and GL
• Implement continuous improvement programs
• Conduct audits for CPA and bank accounts
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of Accounting Supervisory responsibilities
• Experience with GL, AR, AP, billing, reconciliations, chargebacks/billbacks/deductions, and journal entries
• Strong management skills and willingness to develop the team
• Experience in financial analysis and reporting
• Analytical skills to review and optimize processes
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis
• Ability to analyze variances and identify risks
