This position is responsible for but not limited to preparing and managing timely annual 1099 and 1042 tax filings. The role involves maintaining the enterprise-wide vendor master list and managing the agency financial services department, which is responsible for agent commission payments. Additionally, the position includes the production of ad hoc month-end entries as well as reconciliations, serving as a key liaison with other departments and providing accounting guidance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage timely annual 1099 and 1042 tax filings.
• Maintain the enterprise-wide vendor master list.
• Manage the agency financial services department responsible for agent commission payments.
• Produce ad hoc month-end entries and reconciliations.
• Serve as a key liaison with other departments and provide accounting guidance.
• Conduct quarterly and annual audit responsibilities with internal and external auditors.
• Handle Tin Matching, B-Notices, and responses to IRS inquiries.
• Manage tax withholding registrations and filings.
• Ensure OFAC compliance reporting is completed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance.
• 4-10 years of total finance/accounting experience with progressive responsibilities.
• Property and Casualty Insurance experience is preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
• Experience working with offshore team members is a plus.
• Proficiency in Workday is preferred.
• Excel proficiency is required.
• Access skills are a plus.
