About the position

The Accounting Manager at Marmon/Keystone LLC is responsible for overseeing key financial operations including Accounts Payable, Billing, Inventory, and Payroll. This role involves consulting with managers on budgetary matters and developing fiscal strategies that align with the company's goals. The position offers growth potential as it may lead to the Controller role in the future. It is a hybrid position based in Butler, PA, with some travel required based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly reporting processes and ensure timely completion of journal entries and reports.
• Oversee inventory balancing, LIFO monitoring, and reporting on inventory cost changes.
• Complete reconciliations for assigned accounts and OneStream forms on time.
• Support LIFO reporting and Quarterly Sector Analytics.
• Drive process improvement in accounting operations and assign duties to maximize efficiency.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable and Billing Supervisors for accurate processing of invoices and billings.
• Conduct continuous staff development and identify productive workflow methods.
• Maintain accurate payroll processes consistent with company standards.
• Assist in budget preparation and monthly forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies during audits.

Requirements

• Undergraduate Degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA designation or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years managing a team of individual contributors
• Prior work experience in manufacturing and/or distribution
• Key competencies in Financial Management, Performance Management, Ethical Conduct, and Thoroughness.
