About The Position
The Accounting Manager at Highgate Hotels plays a crucial role in the financial leadership of the hotel, ensuring that management is equipped with the necessary guidance and training to maintain profitability and compliance. This position is responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, including cash flow statements, and the management of receivables, payables, and cash balances. The Accounting Manager will monitor hotel revenues and expenses, ensuring they are recorded in accordance with established guidelines, and will create annual budgets along with monthly variance analyses to critique and improve financial performance. In addition to financial reporting, the Accounting Manager will ensure compliance with all regulatory licenses, permits, leases, contracts, and legal agreements, safeguarding the assets of owners and investors. This role involves analyzing financial data to assist management in achieving the hotel's financial objectives and maintaining internal controls for finance and accounting operations. The successful candidate will also oversee the hiring, training, and development of staff, ensuring adherence to Highgate Hotels' standards and regulations. The Accounting Manager will interact regularly with the Executive Committee to ensure that property operations are on track and will be responsible for the timely production of various financial reports, including weekly, monthly, and annual reports. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to maintain confidentiality while managing complex financial information.
