About the position

TULA Skincare is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead our Accounting team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for providing quality analysis and strategic thought, ensuring that TULA maintains best-in-class accounting reporting and processes. Your contributions will be essential in helping to ensure stewardship across TULA. The ideal candidate will thrive on problem-solving, learning in a fast-paced environment, and collaborating cross-functionally. You will develop a deep understanding of the organization while continuing to build more robust processes as we scale. This position reports to the VP of Finance & Accounting and is based remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and provide oversight of Accounting team members.
  • Lead the monthly and annual financial close process, including preparing financial statements and performing Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Review reconciliations done by your team to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure accurate inventory reserves are maintained.
  • Analyze working capital accounts, supporting valuation and turnover specifically related to inventory and accounts receivable.
  • Support all cash-collecting and banking platforms.
  • Oversee credit card and employee reimbursement platform (Divvy/bill.com).
  • Partner with IT, Operations, and Netsuite consultants to ensure Netsuite ERP meets TULA's financial and accounting needs.
  • Oversee and enable accurate and timely tax filings and payments, including managing third-party sales & use tax filings.
  • Build and maintain relationships and processes across all functions through consistent communication and analysis.
  • Provide data and insights to help managers run their departments and make effective decisions, resulting in consistent results.
  • Source ideas to drive efficiency and improved controls with practical recommendations.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for audits related to Accounting, Banking, and Taxes.
  • Accountable for all accounting operations including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Fixed Assets (FA), and Inventory/Cost Accounting.

Requirements

  • 6 years of accounting experience.
  • Broad experience with the NetSuite ERP system is required.
  • Experience with bill.com is preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of SOX, GAAP, and financial reporting.
  • People management experience is essential.
  • Possess effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience at a consumer products company is preferred.
  • Google Sheet skills preferred.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Strong time management and planning skills.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • True team player.
