About the position

The Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in the financial operations of our premier national client. This position is responsible for planning and executing the monthly close process, ensuring that all financial activities are accurately accounted for and reported. The Accounting Manager will oversee the Accounts Payable function, ensuring that all transactions are processed efficiently and in compliance with established financial controls and procedures. This role requires a collaborative approach, as the Accounting Manager will work closely with a team committed to employee growth and development. In addition to managing the monthly close process, the Accounting Manager will supervise a team of accountants, reviewing their work to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. The role also involves coordinating internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support to auditors. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for accounting and analysis of significant transactions, including acquisition and disposition accounting, as well as stock compensation. A key aspect of this position is overseeing Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, ensuring that all financial practices meet regulatory requirements. The Accounting Manager will also review and report on certain tax information, including 1099s and property tax filings. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are essential for this role, and experience with Microsoft Dynamics SL is considered a plus. Responsibilities

  • Accounting for the activity of all companies, including treasury transactions and expense accruals
  • Oversight of the Accounts Payable function
  • Supervision of accountants and review of their work

  • Oversee Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance

  • Utilizing advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics SL is a plus.
