About the position

The Accounting Manager will oversee the financial operations of various departments including hatchery, breeder, broiler, processing, feed mill, and grain and truck shop accounting. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with budgetary guidelines. The Accounting Manager will supervise the preparation of weekly performance reports and is responsible for generating agrimetric and agri-stat reports on a weekly and monthly basis. Additionally, the manager will handle budget reports and month-end financials, ensuring that all financial data is accurate and timely. The position requires a knowledgeable use of computers and relevant accounting software to facilitate these tasks. The Accounting Manager will also prepare weekly estimates and assist in the preparation of the annual budget, contributing to the overall financial planning of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Supervise hatchery, breeder, broiler, processing, feed mill, and grain and truck shop accounting.
• Prepare weekly performance reports.
• Generate weekly, monthly, and other agrimetric and agri-stat reports.
• Manage budget reports and month-end financials.
• Utilize computers and required programs effectively.
• Prepare weekly estimates for financial forecasting.
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.
• Oversee accounting clerks in flock accounting.

Requirements

• Proven experience in accounting or finance management.
• Strong knowledge of agrimetric and agri-stat reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and computer applications.
• Experience in budget preparation and financial reporting.
• Ability to supervise and manage a team effectively.
