About the position

The Accounting Manager position at Adecco US, Inc. in Teaneck, NJ, involves overseeing the accounting department's operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and managing the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes. The role requires strong leadership skills to supervise a team of accountants and implement process improvements in financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Completion for month-end, quarter-end, year-end closing & account reconciliation
• Supervision for senior accountants and accountants, including review of their journal entries and reconciliations
• Process improvement for any area in 'record to report' and 'purchase to pay'
• Creation, revision, deletion of chart of accounts and business units
• Supervision in the process of daily journal entries, fixed assets, construction in progress, credit card, and bank transactions
• Liaison with financial institutions for cash management, forecasting, and financial cost control
• Approve payments for ACH, wire, and checks every week
• Resolve any payment-related issues
• Work with the external financial auditor for interim and year-end financial audits
• Perform self-assessment of JSOX for responsible areas (GA and FA)
• Complete census data
• Address issues relating to responsible areas with other departments' leaders or parent company based on direction from senior manager, escalating to senior controller for support if necessary
• Meet deadlines for financial closing

Requirements

• CPA required
• Good understanding of accounting rules, especially IFRS, and ability to provide solutions to incorporate these ideas into operations
• Strong communication skills to facilitate understanding and support from other departments
• Experience with JDE (ERP) is a plus
• Experience with DIVA is a plus
