About the position

The Accounting Manager at Inframark, LLC is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the efficiency and effectiveness of the Accounting Department. This position involves formulating departmental goals, strategies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs), and directing their implementation and necessary changes. The Accounting Manager ensures that all internal accounting controls are in place and functioning properly, which is critical for maintaining the integrity of financial reporting and compliance with regulations. In this role, the Accounting Manager will manage a team, taking charge of all aspects of people management. This includes hiring, orientation, onboarding, performance management, salary adjustments, promotions, training and development, as well as transfers and terminations. The manager will monitor and review the work of staff, providing coaching and guidance for improvement where necessary. The Accounting Manager will also be responsible for managing the month-end closing process and conducting profit and loss (P&L) reviews. This includes compiling composite reports from individual team member reports, managing sales and use tax administration, and compiling yearly budget information for specific divisions and locations. The manager will prepare monthly forecasts, month-end variance reports, and recommendations based on financial analysis. Additionally, the role involves preparing and submitting tax package information to the Group Controller and assisting the Finance Director with special projects as needed. Other duties may be assigned as necessary, making this a dynamic role that requires adaptability and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • BS degree in Accounting and 6-8 years of experience in Accounting or general business (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • GASB experience is a must; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and internet; FAS system experience preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License; CPA certification required.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, contributing to a positive internal and external customer experience.
