About the position

The Accounting Manager at iDrive Logistics will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and effective management of financial transactions. The Accounting Manager will supervise a team of accountants, coordinate with other departments, and provide strategic financial insights to support the company's business objectives. In this role, the Accounting Manager will prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and other relevant regulations. The manager will also coordinate and manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring that all financial reporting is completed accurately and on time. The position requires strong leadership skills, as the Accounting Manager will supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accountants, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. This includes assigning and reviewing tasks, providing guidance and support, conducting performance evaluations, and identifying opportunities for professional development. Additionally, the Accounting Manager will develop, implement, and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting. They will coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and address any findings or recommendations. The role also involves overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions, performing regular account reconciliations, and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner. Financial analysis is another key responsibility, as the Accounting Manager will conduct profitability analysis, cost analysis, and financial trend analysis to support decision-making. They will prepare reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key financial metrics and insights. Furthermore, the Accounting Manager will identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations, staying updated on industry best practices and changes in accounting regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in Netsuite.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and integrity.
