About the position

We are currently seeking a skilled Accounting Manager to join our growing team in the Philippines. This is a full-time position that allows you to contribute remotely while benefiting from a collaborative work environment. As an Accounting Manager, you will play a crucial role in serving various industries through our Bookkeeping and Accounting Services. Your primary responsibilities will include managing a team, coordinating the month-end close process, and communicating financial information and results to key stakeholders. You will also be tasked with managing a variety of tasks with competing priorities and deadlines, ensuring that all financial operations run smoothly and efficiently. During the first 90 days, you will be required to align your work hours with your manager's time zone, which includes working some hours during the night shift (10pm-6am Philippine time). After this initial period, based on your performance, you will work with your director to create a schedule that includes a four-hour overlap with your manager's hours. This flexibility is designed to accommodate both your needs and those of the team, allowing for effective collaboration and communication. Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of accounting professionals.
  • Coordinate the month-end close process.
  • Communicate financial information and results to key stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple clients and projects to successful completion on time.
  • Work effectively with others, both internally and externally, to achieve goals.
  • Demonstrate initiative and follow through on tasks and projects.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant, hands-on accounting and bookkeeping experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or an Associate's degree in finance is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple clients and projects.
  • Ability to explain complex financial concepts simply.
  • Highly motivated, self-learner, and able to work independently.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Gusto, Karbon, Bill.com, Divvy, Sage Intacct, Quickbooks.
  • Proficient in email management via Microsoft Outlook.
  • Skilled in communicating remotely via phone, teleconference, or email.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the real estate, life sciences, or e-commerce industries.
  • Familiarity with financial regulatory requirements.
