About the position

Cardiac Imaging, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee the accounting, billing, and payroll functions of the company. This role is crucial in ensuring the financial stability of the organization by performing general accounting tasks, managing budgets, and coordinating audits. The Accounting Manager will ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and will be responsible for monitoring and reporting financial results. The selected candidate will work closely with executive management to provide vital information for decision-making processes and will be involved in regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance. The Accounting Manager will perform a variety of essential functions, including managing accounts payable and receivable, medical billing, and payroll functions to ensure accurate financial records. They will maximize returns on financial assets by establishing and enforcing accounting policies and procedures. Additionally, the role involves maintaining company ledgers, preparing journal entries, conducting account analysis and reconciliation, and ensuring timely monthly and annual closing of the company’s books. The Accounting Manager will also manage cash flows and prepare annual budgets, using financial data to meet budget objectives. In this position, the Accounting Manager will develop and monitor performance metrics, complete special projects as directed by executive management, and recruit, train, coach, and supervise accounting staff to ensure optimal performance and professional growth. Maintaining confidentiality of company accounting and financial information is paramount, as is staying current with professional accounting and finance trends and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Perform accounting and financial procedures and reporting.
  • Manage the accounting functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, medical billing, and payroll.
  • Maximize return on and protect financial assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing accounting policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements; track applicable legislation and advise management of necessary changes.
  • Perform regulatory reporting including tax planning and compliance.
  • Maintain company ledgers, prepare journal entries, conduct account analysis and reconciliation, and ensure timely closing of company books.
  • Manage cash flows effectively.
  • Prepare annual budget using schedules and financial data; manage to budget objectives.
  • Develop and monitor performance metrics.
  • Complete special projects as directed by executive management.
  • Recruit, train, coach, develop, and supervise accounting staff to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company accounting and financial information.
  • Monitor and keep current with professional accounting and finance trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required, Master's degree preferred.
  • CPA accreditation preferred.
  • Five to ten years of progressive accounting and financial experience, with two or more years in a managerial role.
  • Combination of public accounting and health care industry experience preferred; multi-state experience preferred.
  • Medical billing experience preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite, Expert knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.
  • Experience with multi-state accounting is preferred.
