About the position

Robert Half is actively recruiting for a knowledgeable Accounting Manager/Consultant to support our private equity backed Healthcare client. The consultant will be responsible for standardizing the Chart of Accounts across six entities, identifying similar accounts, recommending deletion of unused accounts, and adding accounts to ensure any future transactions are accurately recorded. This role is crucial in ensuring that all entities have the same mapping from the Chart of Accounts to the Consolidated Financial Statements and ensuring consistency in segment reporting. The position will be located onsite in Long Beach, CA, and requires a hands-on approach to managing accounting functions and financial reporting across multiple entities. The consultant will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that accounting practices align with industry standards and that financial data is accurately represented in reports.

Responsibilities

  • Standardize the Chart of Accounts across six entities.
  • Identify similar accounts and recommend deletion of unused accounts.
  • Add accounts to ensure accurate recording of future transactions.
  • Ensure all entities have the same mapping from the Chart of Accounts to the Consolidated Financial Statements.
  • Ensure consistency in segment reporting.
  • Work independently and take a hands-on approach to accounting tasks.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial accounting role.
  • Proficiency in accounting functions and financial reporting.
  • Experience with preparing trial balance and consolidated financial statements.
  • Knowledge and experience in handling general ledger tasks.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
  • Strong understanding of accounting and financial principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and team management skills.
  • A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar qualification is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of QuickBooks preferred.
  • Strong US GAAP experience.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills required.
