About the position

Tia is seeking a skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing accounting operations and supporting Tia's growth initiatives. The Accounting Manager will build and lead a team of professionals, manage accounting processes and internal controls, and collaborate with various departments to optimize financial processes. This position is integral to ensuring that Tia's financial operations align with its mission of providing high-quality healthcare for women. In terms of financial management, the Accounting Manager will oversee all end-to-end accounting functions, including consolidated corporate accounting for Tia, PC entities, and its joint venture affiliates. Responsibilities will include month-end close, general ledger maintenance, revenue recognition, and accounts payable. The manager will also develop and implement financial policies and procedures, strengthening internal control frameworks. Additionally, the role involves managing the joint venture accounting function, ensuring accurate recording and reporting of financial transactions related to partnerships in accordance with joint venture agreements. Monitoring financial performance, identifying trends, and providing recommendations for improvement will be key aspects of this role, along with providing technical accounting GAAP leadership and support. As a team leader, the Accounting Manager will build and manage a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a collaborative and positive work environment within the accounting department. The role will also involve coordinating external audits and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, collaborating closely with external tax partners on tax preparation and planning, and staying informed about changes in accounting standards and healthcare regulations. The Accounting Manager will be expected to identify opportunities for process improvement within the accounting department and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy. This position is not only about managing numbers but also about leading a team and driving the financial strategy of Tia as it continues to grow and innovate in women's healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all end-to-end accounting functions including consolidated corporate accounting for Tia, PC entities and its joint venture affiliates.
  • Manage month-end close, general ledger maintenance, revenue recognition, and accounts payable.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures and strengthen internal control frameworks.
  • Manage the joint venture accounting function, ensuring accurate recording and reporting of financial transactions related to partnerships in accordance with joint venture agreements.

Requirements

  • Experience in a complex multi-site healthcare strongly preferred.
  • Exposure to joint ventures/partnerships with hospital/health system entities preferred.
  • Hands-on accounting leader willing to roll up sleeves and build a high performing accounting team through Tia's growth.
  • Strategic and forward-thinking mindset, with proven ability to execute on mandates while effectively identifying areas for improvement and innovation in internal systems.
  • Strong business partner with experience working cross-functionally across many areas and levels of an organization.
  • Strong leader with the proven ability to build relationships.
  • Good listener with good influencing qualities and a natural, effective consultative style.
  • Data-driven and analytical with an ability to respond, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.

  • Public accounting experience preferred.
  • Business, Accounting or Finance undergraduate degree required.
  • Experience with Netsuite preferred.
