About the position

As a Senior Accounting Manager at Boldyn Networks, you will play a crucial role in managing the monthly financial close process and ensuring that all transactions are accurately accrued and reported. Your responsibilities will include preparing core financial statements and conducting initial reviews of these statements, along with supporting schedules, to maintain the high accuracy and quality expected in our monthly Business Process Review. This position is based in our New York office and is integral to our mission of delivering next-generation connectivity solutions to customers across the country. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective operation of key financial processes, ensuring compliance with the company's guidelines and requirements. You will drive proper general ledger accounting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and produce and present ad hoc reports and analyses to support business operations, including project reporting and cash flow analysis. Your expertise will be essential in providing guidance on accounting matters, reviewing new contracts under US GAAP, and staying updated on new accounting standards and their implications for the company's accounting policies and processes. You will also serve as a key resource for external audits and financial statement preparation, which includes preparing accounting documentation, memos, and draft financial statements. Additionally, you will draft treasury compliance reports on a quarterly and annual basis and actively participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing the company's accounting information systems, including the migration to Workday and integrations with related applications. Promoting effective communication within the Accounting team and across the company will be a vital part of your role, as will ensuring that your team possesses the necessary skills through training, mentorship, and regular feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the monthly financial close process and ensure accurate transaction accruals and reporting.
  • Prepare core financial statements and conduct initial reviews for accuracy and quality.

  • Participate in initiatives to enhance accounting information systems and ERP system migration to Workday.
  • Promote effective communication within the Accounting team and across the company.
  • Ensure team skill development through training, mentorship, and feedback.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of accounting and audit experience.
  • CPA certification required.
  • Direct involvement in using and optimizing ERP systems.
  • Proven experience in managing the close process.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and improving financial transaction processes.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills with ERP experience preferred.
