In this role, you will oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes. You will prepare monthly financial statements, reports, and records by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information. Maintaining and strengthening internal controls to safeguard company assets will be a key responsibility. You will collaborate with the finance team to develop budgets and financial forecasts, conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, payroll, and other applicable taxes. As an Accounting Manager, you will also lead and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a CPA or MBA preferred. You should have a minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role, and possess strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, is essential, along with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills, are also crucial for success in this role.
