About the position

The Accounting Manager position at Southwest Network involves providing leadership and coordination of financial operations for both Southwest Network and Open Skies Healthcare. This role is crucial in managing internal accounting functions and ensuring that all accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), as well as state, federal, contractor accounting, and any other regulatory guidelines. The Accounting Manager will supervise the accounting and financial processes and personnel, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with all reporting requirements. In this position, the Accounting Manager will consistently produce accurate financial information, monitor and analyze accounting reconciliations, and identify and eliminate deficiencies and inefficiencies in department operations. Additionally, the manager will assist with the organization’s annual independent financial audit and supervise accounting department staff in the performance of related duties to accomplish organizational goals. This role requires a proactive approach to leadership and a commitment to maintaining high standards of financial integrity and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting or finance, with a focus on the healthcare sector being a plus. The position demands a thorough understanding of financial regulations and the ability to lead a team effectively. The Accounting Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial health of the organization and ensuring that it meets its financial obligations while supporting its mission of providing integrated behavioral and physical health services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and coordination of financial operations for Southwest Network and Open Skies Healthcare.
  • Manage internal accounting functions and ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory guidelines.
  • Supervise accounting and financial processes and personnel to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Produce accurate financial information and monitor accounting reconciliations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
  • Three years of related experience in accounting or finance required.
  • Experience working within a managed healthcare environment is desired but not required.
  • An equivalent combination of related education and experience may substitute for any of the above.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience with Business Central and Jet reports is beneficial.
  • Must maintain a valid Arizona state finger clearance card.
  • Must have and maintain a valid Arizona driver's license.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Experience in a managed healthcare environment.
