About the position

The Accounting Manager at Crown Holdings is responsible for overseeing all accounting functions within the plant, including month-end processes, financial reporting, reconciliations, payroll, sales commissions, and accounts payable. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards, while also supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare journal entries documenting business transactions.
• Prepares GL Account and Bank Reconciliation.
• Prepares financial statements and reports to summarize the company's financial position, including month-end reporting and gainshare analysis.
• Maintains Accounting Policy database.
• Identifies control gaps and develops control procedures to resolve deficiencies.
• Assists in preparation for internal and external audits.
• Develops financial analysis and cost accounting skills.
• Responsible for execution and coordination of physical inventory.
• Performance Management for any direct reports.
• Oversees payroll and accounts payable functions.
• Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Solid understanding of accounting concepts and GAAP.
• Proven track record of working in a team environment with various departments.
• Experience working with an ERP system.
• Three (3) years of Plant Manufacturing experience.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Packaging industry experience.
• IBM i AS400 experience.
