About the position

The Accounting Manager at Maverick Helicopters, Inc. is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and reconciling bank statements. This role involves utilizing accounting software to manage business transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, while ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.

Responsibilities

• Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
• Verify and complete payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensure payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
• Review and post weekly, biweekly, and monthly invoices for accounts receivable and manage collections for payments.
• Perform daily and monthly bank statement reconciliations.
• Help with end-of-month preparations for financial reporting.
• Review accounts for discrepancies and reconcile differences.
• Resolve invalid or unauthorized deductions by entering adjusting entries.
• Answer accounting questions by researching and interpreting data.
• Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required; College or University degree preferred or equivalent years of service.
• Minimum of five years of related experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Dynamics GP, and Microsoft Outlook.
