About the position

The Accounting Manager at Garden Spot Village is responsible for overseeing the finance department, ensuring compliance with established policies, and managing accounting functions related to billing, cash receipts, and accounts payable. This role requires strong technical accounting skills and the ability to deliver exceptional customer service while supporting the Finance Department with strategic initiatives and special projects.

Responsibilities

• Complies with established policies and procedures and maintains established standards and practices including the Compliance Program/Code of Conduct.
• Follows Residents' Rights policies at all times.
• Oversee finance department staff and manage schedules to ensure timely workflows in the areas of Billing, Cash Receipts and Accounts Payable.
• Manage the accounting for multiple Point of Sale systems.
• Maintain revenue-based statistics for management reporting.
• Oversee the collections process across all revenue streams.
• Assist in maintaining and updating internal controls, financial policies, and procedures.
• Prepare and review reports requested by residents.
• Support the Finance Department with other strategic initiatives and special projects.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a Senior Living or Healthcare environment.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience.
• Supervisory experience is preferred.
• Strong technical accounting skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
