The Accounting Manager at Crestline Hotels & Resorts plays a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of the hotel. This position is responsible for supervising key areas such as Payroll, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cashier, and Income Audit. The Accounting Manager will report directly to the Director of Finance and will ensure that daily operations comply with the company's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Local Standard Operating Procedures (LSOPs), as well as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and all relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations. In this role, the Accounting Manager will analyze and reconcile all general ledger accounts and bank statements to guarantee that financial information is accurate and readily available. They will assist in preparing the annual budget, forecasts, taxes, and other financial reports. Additionally, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for training staff, monitoring, and coordinating the implementation and maintenance of financial controls, and ensuring effective information flow to other departments. The position requires resolving issues within the accounting systems to ensure smooth operations. Key duties include maintaining accurate daily revenue figures, facilitating monthly adjustments to guest and city ledgers, handling office supply orders, assisting in inventory and price verifications, and preparing training sessions for associates. The Accounting Manager will also verify monthly revenue reports, assist in profit and loss statement preparation, and maintain positive working relationships with all hotel associates and managers. This role is essential for ensuring that all accounting practices are followed and that the department operates efficiently and effectively.
