The Accounting Manager at Highgate Hotels is a pivotal role responsible for providing consistent leadership in the financial operations of the hotel. The hotel boasts 1,331 newly built guestrooms and is surrounded by numerous attractions, making it a vibrant place to work. In this role, the Accounting Manager will effectively manage cash flow issues, ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of monthly financial statements, including cash flow statements and management of receivables and payables. The manager will monitor hotel revenues and expenses, ensuring they are recorded in accordance with Highgate Hotels' established guidelines. Additionally, the Accounting Manager will create annual budgets, conduct monthly variance analysis, and investigate variances to budget or prior years, offering practical improvement methodologies to management. The position also involves ensuring compliance with all regulatory licenses and permits, leases, contracts, and operational taxes. The Accounting Manager will analyze financial data to assist management in maintaining the hotel's financial objectives and will comply with standard accounting policies and procedures. This includes timely reviews and approvals of balance sheet accounts, establishing internal financial controls, and successfully completing all internal and external financial audits. Moreover, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for hiring, training, supervising, and developing staff, ensuring compliance with Highgate Hotels' standards and regulations. The role requires timely interaction with Executive Committee members to ensure property operations are on track and under control.
