In this role, you will be responsible for managing the work of the accounting staff, ensuring that all basic accounting procedures are followed, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, time billing, payroll, general ledger maintenance, tax payments, and inventory control. You will monitor and review all records of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions, preparing financial statements and supporting schedules as needed. Additionally, you will create cash flow projections and communicate with customers regarding any past due invoices, providing weekly status updates to management. Responsibilities

  • Manage the work of the accounting staff.
  • Oversee basic accounting procedures including A/R, A/P, time billing, payroll, G/L, tax payments, and inventory control.
  • Monitor and review all records of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions.
  • Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Create cash flow projections.
  • Communicate with customers regarding past due invoices and provide weekly status updates to management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related field preferred; CPA or MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in accounting, with at least 1 year of management experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.
  • Strong supervisory skills and ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong computer skills, including expertise in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Self-managed with the ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with a variety of industries and accounting software is a plus.
