We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team and play a key role in financial management. Responsibilities

  • Manage daily accounting functions, including accounts payable and cash receipts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Supervise and mentor the Accounts Payable Coordinator, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team.
  • Partner with the Revenue Accounting Manager to support project managers with billing and financial insights.
  • Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations and financial statements, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Oversee month-end close processes and deliver actionable variance analysis to improve financial performance.
  • Coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts aligned with company goals.
  • Monitor budget performance and recommend adjustments to optimize resources.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Act as a financial advisor to project managers and cross-functional teams, providing actionable insights to support decision-making.
  • Lead special projects and present recommendations to senior management on financial strategy and policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, with 2+ years in a managerial role.
  • Proficiency with accounting software; Vantagepoint experience preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
  • Experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry or other project-based environments is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, work-in-progress (WIP) accounting and variance analysis.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
