About the position

The position involves leading and overseeing the month-end and year-end close processes for North America at Dynatrace. The role requires ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to deadlines in financial reporting, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support operational initiatives. The candidate will also be responsible for maintaining compliance with internal audit and SOX requirements, as well as assisting with audits and special projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the month-end and year-end close processes for North America.
  • Review and approve journal entries, ensuring proper recording and documentation in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Review account reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial information and assist in resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Review monthly fluctuation analyses and provide explanations for significant or unusual changes in balances.
  • Lead the NORAM Cash Forecasting process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational initiatives.
  • Perform technical accounting research as needed and implement where required.
  • Participate in the preparation and review of monthly reports/analyses to Management.
  • Maintain Internal Audit/SOX compliance.
  • Assist with audits and interact with external auditors to provide necessary documentation and support.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and proficiency in US GAAP.
  • Experience overseeing the month-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks concurrently, and work well with all levels within the organization.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop team members.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • CPA License and Big 4 accounting firm experience.
  • Experience with accounting software; experience with NetSuite and/or OneStream a plus.
