The Accounting Manager at Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park, plays a crucial role in supporting the Director of Finance and the Assistant Director of Finance in leading the Accounting/Finance department. This position is essential in ensuring that the hotel and Finance department adhere to ACCOR policies while actively participating in the completion of reporting and billing requirements. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for assisting with monthly hotel reporting, ensuring that hotel and company billing and credit procedures are properly implemented, and completing and reconciling monthly balance sheet reconciliations for review by the Director of Finance. All backup documentation and reconciling items must be submitted accurately and timely. Additionally, the Accounting Manager will act as a backup to the Payroll Manager and must be prepared to assist in other areas of the accounting office as requested. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance within the department.
