About the position

The Accounting Manager position at Robert Half is a short-term contract role based in Los Angeles, California. This role is focused on managing financial activities, including vendor setup and banking for both domestic and international operations. The Accounting Manager will handle a high volume of transactions across multiple business units in various regions, ensuring compliance with SEC Reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations while utilizing advanced Excel skills for data management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the setup of vendors and banking for domestic and international operations
  • Ensure accurate and efficient processing of large volumes of transactions ranging in value
  • Handle various types of payments including ACH, PayPal, wire, and manual payments
  • Address and fix any coding issues that may arise during the payment process
  • Work on payment proposals to streamline and optimize payment procedures
  • Oversee the use of the Accounts Payable module of Oracle Fusion
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and effective use of Excel for data management
  • Adhere to and ensure compliance with SEC Reporting and SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.

Requirements

  • Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role is required.
  • Must possess strong knowledge and experience in SEC Reporting.
  • Proficiency in Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance is necessary.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills are required.
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are needed.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Must demonstrate high ethical standards and integrity in all work-related situations.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
