About the position

The Accounting Manager will oversee all aspects of accounting operations within the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. This role involves managing accounts payable and receivable, payroll accruals, and general ledger activities, while also supervising the accounting staff. The position requires a strong understanding of accrual basis accounting and the ability to analyze and improve current accounting procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accruals, and general ledger.
  • Oversee A/R and A/P staff.
  • Prepare Journal Entries, Bank Reconciliations and daily cash flows.
  • Monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
  • Month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial reports needed by CFO or other officers.
  • Review G/L and financial statements to identify any abnormalities or financial trends.
  • Track and maintain key financial metrics required by management.
  • Perform project analysis reports.
  • Analyze current accounting procedures and recommend improvements as needed.

Requirements

  • Five+ Years of solid Accounting Experience, including some supervisory experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting highly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of Accrual Basis accounting Required.
  • Excellent computer skills including very strong Excel skills.
  • Stable work history.
  • Verifiable work references.
