About the position

Randstad is seeking an Accounting Manager for a well-established manufacturing company in York, PA. This role is crucial for overseeing day-to-day accounting functions and will report directly to the Vice President. The position has opened due to the retirement of a long-time employee, and training will be provided. Responsibilities

  • Oversee and perform in-house payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable as necessary.
  • Prepare financial reports, taxes, month-end close, cash flow, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Perform financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement, such as reducing costs and increasing margins.
  • Manage cash flow by constantly monitoring accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Maintain inventory and fixed assets.
  • Ensure accuracy and effectiveness in all accounting tasks and reports, as well as compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
  • Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions.
  • Manage the 401K program/accounts.
  • Lead the execution of annual audits and tax preparation.
  • Utilize accounting software (Sage) to manage financial data effectively.
  • Assist with the introduction and implementation of a new inventory/ERP system.
  • Involve in commercial and health insurance programs.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Associate degree in accounting or finance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Sage accounting software.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems.
