About the position

Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking an Accounting Manager to be based at our Fayetteville, NC facility. This role is pivotal in managing, developing, coordinating, and controlling all Accounting and Business Systems activities of the Fayetteville plant. The Accounting Manager will ensure that policies, procedures, systems, and controls for the recording and reporting of financial operations are adhered to, maintaining effective communication with all departments to enhance teamwork and profitability. The position involves participation in the preparation of month-end closing, rolling forecasts, balance sheet reconciliations, profit plans, and strategic plans. The Accounting Manager will also interpret and prepare analyses of operating results versus budgeted plans and forecasts as requested, leading the reporting and forecasting efforts of the PFC business in Fayetteville. A unique aspect of this role includes assisting with the ICD-Fab business transition, expected to conclude by the end of 2025. As the finance lead for the accounting and forecasting activities of the PFC business, the Accounting Manager will direct the accounting organization in accordance with generally accepted accounting procedures and corporate policy. This role requires partnering with the IT department to ensure correct, concise, and timely information, coordinating the development of new processes and modifications of existing processes to meet plant and division objectives. The Accounting Manager will provide direction to operations and leadership teams in pursuit of business goals and plant objectives, implementing and evaluating the effect of accounting systems changes as required by changes within the plant or division's operations. Additionally, the Accounting Manager will review all of the plant's financial statements and reports with the Plant Finance Manager to aid the strategic decision-making process and remedy any significant problems. This position also involves developing, guiding, motivating, and training individuals to meet plant and division objectives, ensuring an adequate environment of internal control, and providing compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and all applicable statutory requirements. The Accounting Manager will lead department activities related to process improvements and standard work, maintaining an atmosphere of continuous improvement and teamwork for accomplishing department and plant goals. Furthermore, the role includes leading the preparation of the Profit Plan each year for both ledgers and presenting it to the division, managing adequate support of remote resources to drive high-performance execution, and assisting the Plant Finance Manager with special projects as required.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting or finance experience.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice-to-haves

  • Minimum Three years experience in a Finance Manager role.
  • Experience in an engineered to order or manufacturing operations facility.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting from an accredited institution.
