About the position

The Accounting Manager position is a permanent role focused on leading a high-performing accounting team while overseeing various accounting functions. The role involves developing and analyzing financial information to assess the organization's profitability and performance, preparing budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring tax compliance, and providing management reporting.

Responsibilities

• Development, analysis, and interpretation of statistical and accounting information to appraise operating results.
• Establishes major economic objectives and policies for the company and prepares financial position reports.
• Coordinates and directs the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, maintaining planning and control procedures.
• Responsible for tax planning and compliance with federal, state, and local taxes.
• Furnishes internal and external reports, revising them for efficiency and usefulness.
• Determines depreciation rates for capitalized items and advises management on operational adjustments due to tax revisions.
• Evaluates and recommends insurance coverage for property losses and potential liabilities.
• Management reporting as it pertains to the Department.
• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Experience in overseeing accounting functions and budget management.
