The Accounting Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day execution of general ledger processes, ensuring that clients understand and effectively engage with these processes. This position involves performing essential accounting functions, particularly in account balancing, ledger reconciliation, reporting, and resolving discrepancies. The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background in finance and accounting, with either a four-year bachelor's degree or a two-year degree accompanied by relevant work experience. In this role, the Accounting Manager will coordinate and implement various accounting projects and tasks as assigned, ensuring compliance with Federal and State laws related to fraud and collection procedures. The manager will generate accurate and timely reports and presentations, analyze information to evaluate results, and compile and verify data. Responsibilities also include balancing credit card ledgers and verifying contracts for groups, as well as conducting credit reference checks when necessary. The Accounting Manager is expected to achieve and exceed performance, budget, and team goals while developing specific plans to prioritize and organize work effectively. This includes submitting reports on time, ensuring accurate documentation of profits and losses, and monitoring applicable taxes. The manager will maintain a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets and complete period-end functions. Additionally, the role involves providing direction and assistance to other organizational units regarding accounting and budgeting policies and procedures. Demonstrating and applying accounting knowledge is essential, including familiarity with job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes. The manager will utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead and motivate accounting teams, ensuring a productive work environment. This includes supporting the development and training of employees, providing constructive coaching, and managing human resource activities effectively. The Accounting Manager will also be responsible for managing time well, demonstrating personal integrity, and effectively resolving interpersonal conflicts.
