About the position

The Accounting Manager will oversee the corporate accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance. This role is essential for maintaining the financial integrity of the company and supporting its growth through effective management of accounting operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the corporate accounting department to ensure all reporting is accurate and timely
• Prepare monthly financial statements, performance reporting, and analysis
• Manage treasury functions and month-end close, including approval of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support ADP implementation while overseeing weekly payroll processes
• Manage tax compliance and reporting
• Support external audits
• Manage a team of direct reports responsible for cash management, financial statement preparation, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll
• Assist Controller on business and project forecasts

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3-5 years of construction industry experience
• Strong Excel user with an ability to use pivot tables and vlookup
• Prior supervisory experience in managing a team and developing employees is strongly preferred
• Experience with ADP and process improvements/implementations is a plus
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Able to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently with a high volume of output
• Detail-oriented and strong organizational habits
• Self-driven to complete continuous improvement initiatives and support ongoing learning
