About the position

The Accounting Manager at Outworx Group plays a crucial role in overseeing the finance and accounting functions of the organization. Reporting directly to the Controller, this position is integral to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting and analysis. The Accounting Manager will interact daily with various leaders, managers, and colleagues across different business units, fostering collaboration and communication to support the company's financial health. This role also involves liaising with external auditors and tax advisors, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing comprehensive analyses to all departments. The Accounting Manager is responsible for developing and implementing necessary controls to maintain the proper conduct of business operations and ensuring that accurate accounting records are maintained. In addition to overseeing financial reporting, the Accounting Manager will prepare and present timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. This position requires a strong analytical mindset to interpret financial data and provide insights that aid senior management in decision-making processes. The Accounting Manager will also manage the general ledger, oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, and ensure effective cash management practices are in place. Leading the accounting and finance team, the Accounting Manager will provide guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations to foster a high-performing team environment. Furthermore, this role will collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the organization's growth objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations to senior management for informed decision-making.
  • Oversee the general ledger, chart of accounts, and journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including overseeing invoicing, collections, and payments.
  • Manage cash flow, monitor banking activities, and optimize the use of surplus funds.
  • Lead and manage the accounting and finance team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies and policies to support the organization's growth and objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting; CPA preferred.
  • Relevant experience in accounting and finance.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in financial software, such as ERP systems, and advanced knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret financial data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey financial information to non-finance professionals and stakeholders.
  • Precision and attention to detail are essential in maintaining accurate financial records.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
