In this role, the Accounting Manager will lead the month-end and year-end close processes, which involve performing reconciliations and making necessary adjusting entries. The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures that align with GAAP standards. Collaboration with other departments is essential to ensure that financial results are reported accurately and in a timely manner. Additionally, the Accounting Manager will manage the company's tax compliance and reporting, ensuring that all obligations are met. The position also involves implementing and maintaining the company's ERP system, ensuring that data accuracy and integrity are upheld. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial statements.
  • Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and adjusting entries.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results.
  • Manage the company's tax compliance and reporting.
  • Implement and maintain ERP system, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to accounting staff, ensuring development and growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • CPA certification preferred + Big 4 experience
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience with ERP implementation and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and tax compliance regulations.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting and COGS.
  • Experience in manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Ability to lead and develop accounting staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
