About the position

Desert Vein and Vascular Institute (DVVI) is seeking an Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team. The Accounting Manager will play a critical role in managing the day-to-day accounting tasks essential for the smooth operation of our organization. This position is hands-on and requires a proactive approach to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal controls. In this role, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for maintaining processes and procedures around daily recordkeeping, which includes accounting data entry for accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), and payroll. The successful candidate will ensure the proper categorization of transactions and the accuracy of the general ledger. Additionally, the Accounting Manager will support the Controller with the monthly financial close process and manage the disbursement cycle and accounts payable. The role also involves the preparation of monthly bank reconciliations and assisting with tax return preparation in collaboration with outside CPAs and other external reporting requirements. Establishing and ensuring internal controls will be a key responsibility, along with handling various ad hoc projects as they arise. The ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain processes and procedures around daily recordkeeping
  • Handle accounting data entry for accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), and payroll

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in accounting positions with progressively increasing responsibility
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks and Excel
  • Strong written and oral professional communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Self-directed with an ability to work independently
  • Accounting degree preferred but not required
