About the position

As a CBRE Accounting Manager, you will play a crucial role in assisting the department with financial management, forecasting, and auditing. This position is part of the General Accounting job function, where you will be responsible for the development and day-to-day maintenance of accounting processes and procedures. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining accurate records of accounting transactions and evaluating results efficiently. You will review journal entries and all ledger accounts, ensuring reconciliation of all statements according to US GAAP standards. Regular evaluations on accounting issues will be part of your responsibilities, and you will be expected to resolve them efficiently. In addition to maintaining records, you will prepare balance sheets and income statements, providing support to both internal and external auditors. Coordination with management and various departments will be necessary to ensure optimal quality of services to all clients. You will collaborate with project teams to resolve accounting issues related to new products and systems, and monitor inventory for stock accounts while preparing status reports for all fixed assets. Your in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques will enable you to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions. As a leader, you will coach others and share your in-depth knowledge of your job discipline, while also demonstrating a broad understanding of several job disciplines within the function. You will lead by example, modeling behaviors consistent with CBRE's RISE values, and work to build consensus among team members. Your role will impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within your team and related teams, working within broad guidelines and policies. You will also be responsible for explaining difficult or sensitive information as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain records of accounting transactions and evaluate results efficiently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience, or a combination of experience and education.
  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
  • Sophisticated math skills, including the ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages and fractions.
