About the position

The Company is seeking a full-time, highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join the accounting team. As an Accounting Manager, you will play a crucial role in the Company's financial operations, reporting directly to the Corporate Controller. You will contribute to the accounting team and organization through a range of responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, the following: Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure precise financial reporting. Conduct balance sheet account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of monthly financial data. Maintain the fixed assets ledger, tracking and updating asset records as necessary. Maintain certain account ledgers, as assigned by the Corporate Controller, by posting account transactions. Oversee and assist with the timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Perform trend and/or budget vs. actuals analysis monthly to ensure accurate reporting. Work directly with the Corporate Controller to identify and implement process improvements within the department, creating a more efficient and effective controls environment. Ensure accounting policy alignment, reporting, quality and timeliness and internal controls compliance in the decentralized organization as the Company expands through acquisitions. Assist with information requests for financial information from both internal and external parties. Provide technical accounting guidance and assistance under US GAAP. Assist with the annual financial audit process, providing support to the accounting team and external auditors. Day-to-day management of staff initiatives (trains, motivates, recommends discipline as necessary, etc.). Complete special projects, as assigned by the Corporate Controller.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, or a related field; CPA license preferred, but not mandatory.
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in an accounting role, including public accounting or industry experience.
  • High-growth company experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with Sage 100 is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and accrual accounting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting.
  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience in designing and implementing internal controls and processes.
  • Self-starter with the ability to act and operate independently; natural curiosity to take on new challenges and responsibility.
  • Detail oriented and strong communication skills, written and verbal.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Sage 100 is preferred, but not required.
  • High-growth company experience is preferred, but not required.
